Mobile ILA-Guide 2008 - LiveWorld
Official Fair Guide for ILA 2008
This year a digital fair guide comes into operation during the ILA for the first time. However, we keep the guide that has been developed by the company gistum deliberately lean. It is not supposed to copy the catalogue, but rather to assist you in your orientation on the fair ground. The Guide runs on many cell phones and you can download it from the Internet for free.
What does the Mobile ILA-Guide 2008 – LiveWorld contain?
The mobile ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld is a digital map of the exhibition area which can be displayed on many cell phones. Besides map directions and a plan of the surroundings, including railway station Schönefeld (train, bus and S-Bahn), the parking North, and the brand new highway A113 you will find the exhibition halls, Display and Chalets on the fairground by direct piloting. Furthermore there is information on bus shuttle schedules and the Flight Display Program.
You quickly find the so-called POI (Points of Interest): the Meeting Point, restaurants, rest rooms and additional service stations, like e.g. first aid. Also, you can easily follow the "Path of Innovation" with your ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld. In addition, the guide contains an alphabetical list of all exhibitors (as of May 20 2008).
How does the software work?
The mobile ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld is free and available for download from the Internet at www.gistum.com. It comes with an Installer program and installing instructions. It works similar to a PC program: you install the ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld once on your phone, and then it runs without the need for a mobile phone service provider. If you wish to do so, you can certainly use the ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld online. In this case you will be able to receive the latest information about the flight program that will be udated regularly on the evening the day before.
How does the hardware work?
If you want to use the mobile ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld you will need a Java-capable cell phone (most of the current Nokia and SonyEricsson devices run without having problems, devices running on Windows operating systems do not function). Furthermore the mobile ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld is GPS-capable. If you own a GPS-phone or you connect an external Bluetooth GPS-device to your phone, you will get your current position on the map and you receive information about the direction and distance of specific exhibition spaces and POI on your display.
Support during the ILA 2008
During the exhibition you will get support in Hall 7A, Stand 251, at the stand of the gistum company that has developed the mobile ILA Guide 2008 – LiveWorld for us. They will also provide periodic demonstration tours.
Normally after the installation of the mobile ILA Guide 2008 - LiveWorld you can start your tour right away.
